MA in Ballet Pedagogy, Palucca University of Dance Dresden. Former professional dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet. A resident ISTD Tutor and Assessor who prepares every student to the international examiner standard.

MA in Professional Practice (Arts Management). Internationally trained in both ISTD and RAD syllabi. Identified the gap in Singapore's dance market, that no school was offering ISTD Ballet, and founded ATJ to fill it. That was 2014. Today, ATJ serves over 1,500 students across four studios.

Everything you'd want to know before your child's first class.
How much is the trial class and how long does it run?
Each trial class is $40, payable when you book via WhatsApp. The class runs the full session length for that level.
Does my child need prior dance experience?
Not for the entry grades — Grade 1 starts from foundations. For older beginners, we assess your child after the trial and place them in the level that fits, then support them to progress.
How do the exams work?
Ballet is examined by ISTD, jazz by ADAPT — both internationally recognised boards. Exams are optional, but most families choose them. They give your child measurable milestones and globally recognised qualifications.
My child is older. Can they still catch up?
Yes. We assess every new dancer regardless of age and place them in the right level. Many of our strongest dancers started later than you'd expect.
What happens after the graded levels?
Dancers progress into our vocational track (Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 1) and can join the Competitive Program. Several alumni have gone on to professional dance training overseas.
Where are you located?
We have studios across Singapore, including a dedicated Performance and Training Centre at 36 Prinsep Street for dancers advancing toward competition and stage. Our dance studios are located at Forum, i12 Katong, Prinsep and Dunearn Village.
